Past: My "Why"

My journey began in the realm of science and medical research, fuelled by a deep-seated desire to positively impact lives.

However, as time went by, I felt a growing sense of disconnect from the people I aimed to help. Stuck in the confines of a lab, I yearned for a more direct way to make a difference.

It wasn't until the pandemic forced moments of introspection amid silent labs and isolated experiments that I unearthed my true calling: the captivating and ever-evolving world of UX design.

My design ethos is rooted in data-driven practices and accessibility, reflecting my analytical mindset and penchant for structured processes. Research serves as my guiding light in UX design, allowing me to seamlessly translate my background as a researcher into this dynamic field.

As a UX designer, I've found my passion lies in the intricate realm of interaction design and I'd love nothing more than to infuse my skills into the healthtech & medtech scenes, where my background in healthcare gives me a unique perspective in crafting meaningful solutions.

I am deeply passionate about collaborating on the design of hardware to enhance its functionality and usability, ultimately aiming to streamline processes for healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes.

When I'm not knee-deep in design projects, you'll catch me diving headfirst into a world of passions and hobbies that light up my days. As a total foodie, I'm always on the hunt for my next delicious culinary adventure, exploring flavours, cuisines, and cafés in the GTA.
Being a proud dog mom, you'll often find me out and about, exploring nature trails and soaking up the sunshine with my fur baby by my side. I'm all about staying active and hitting the gym, kickboxing, and pushing my limits and feeling the burn with some serious weightlifting.
And let's talk about matcha—my ultimate source of morning joy (though my latte art needs help). I also enjoy brewing my own alcohol (rice wine & plum wine) and experimenting with the ratios for the best flavour profiles! When it's time to unwind, I'll be reading a book, whisked away to distant lands and thrilling adventures.
But that's not all, I've got a soft spot for all things crafty, from crocheting to pottery and making custom mugs and glass cups (yes, the Silhouette is my best friend). When the weekend rolls around, there's nothing I love more than rounding up my friends for a good time filled with games, laughs, snacks, and plenty of tea.
